What should i do about this?

So i need to start from the beginning... I talked to this guy at a party after prom and he took my phone and put his number in my phone, but i never texted him because i didnt really know what to say. But like a week ago he asked my twin sister on facebook why she never texted him (he thought she was me) but then she told him it was actually me at the party...he never replied to her or to me for that matter. So a few days ago i texted him saying "hey its amanda :)" but its days later and he still hasnt replied... So did i screw it up? And what do i do now, id text him again but that would be to desprate... But i dont want to completely forget about him. What should i do
