Adding established wood to a new tank?

There shouldn't be any problems with using wood from a turtle tank, but carefully monitor pH levels just in case the wood absorbed high levels of any basic solutions, such as ammonia. Adding that many fish is a bit risky and you should probably consider adding no more than two fish and maybe a bottomfeeder.
