Is there anything I can do?

I am a 24 year old woman and I was recently arrested on charges of possession of heroin. No i do not use nor do I sell it, I don't know anything about it. I was released from jail and watched myself on the news later that evening and all news station stated that I was found in a car with fifty thousand dollars worth of heroin. I was fired from my job and can't get another one due to the fact that everybody in this town has seen my face on tv with drugs. It has been 6 months and the charges have been dismissed. Is there any way I can file a civil suit for slander or anything. I just want my life back.
